CMN Hospitals' Innovation Team to Test New Program Called Superhero U!
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ annual Dance Marathon Leadership Conference was an exciting time for our Innovation Team. We invited 7 Dance Marathon programs and hospitals from across the nation to help us build a new initiative that we are working on, called Superhero U.
Superhero U is a program that allows our collegiate Dance Marathon programs to convert elementary schools into a superhero academy. For one week, kids will learn to unlock their unique superpowers and fundraise along the way! They will then use the lessons and skills they learn throughout the week to help kids just like them who are in the hospital.
CMN Hospitals doesn’t currently have a national program aimed at engaging our youth audiences in elementary schools, and we’re hoping that this initiative addresses that need. The 7 hospitals invited to participate in the pilot version of this program are Boston Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital, Sanford Children’s Hospitals – Sioux Falls, Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego, St. Luke’s Children’s, and UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital.
We can’t wait to work with our Miracle Network Dance Marathons and hospitals to build out this new innovation program, and help raise more money, For The Kids.
